The Artist’s Lights in Salerno are now an event of national importance, which have animated the city of Salerno for ten years.

The lights of Salerno, in fact, were turned on for the first time during the 2006 Christmas holidays. The format, in reality, was taken from a similar event held in the city of Turin with which, starting from 2009, it was born an ideal twinning. This led to the exchange of numerous works of art between the two cities. In Salerno, however, over the years works specially commissioned by various artists have been installed.

The event, not surprisingly, takes this name. Luci d’Artista wants to underline, in fact, the cultural value of the initiative. Those on display, in fact, are not simple Christmas lights, but rather real artistic installations, works of art, which decorate the urban environments of the city. The high cultural value of the initiative has been highlighted several times by industry experts.
