The Province of Salerno, with the provision of the Cultural Networks and Systems sector, reopens the Arechi Castle to the public starting from tomorrow 15 October with opening from 9.00 to 17.00 from Tuesday to Saturday 9.00/15.00 on Sundays .

“We are giving the Arechi Castle back to the city – declares the provincial councilor delegated for culture Francesco Morra – after the closure decided last August following the fire that affected Mount Bonadies, given that the necessary safety conditions did not exist both for the visitors and staff. Now we are finally able to open to the public having eliminated the extremely dangerous factors. In fact, the Province of Salerno has carried out an intervention to remove the greenery in the access path to the Castle from the lower car park to the upper viewpoint.

Therefore the access road to the Castle is passable, while the path system and in particular the path called “Del Principe” and the two paths leading to the Bastille remain closed to visitors.”
